Privacy policy
We collect only what we need to answer your enquiry and serve your account, and we handle it in line with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
When you submit a quote request or contact form we receive the information you type: name, company, role, work email, phone, business number if provided, delivery address, your product list and any notes. We do not collect payment card details through this website.
How we use it
- To prepare and send quotations, confirm eligibility for trade pricing and fulfil orders.
- To answer enquiries from prospective customers, suppliers and partners.
- To keep records required by law, including customs and product-safety record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell personal information and we do not send marketing email without your consent.
Your quote list
Products you add to your quote list are stored only in your own browser (local storage) until you submit the form. We cannot see your list until you send it to us. Clearing your browser data removes it.
Service providers
This website is hosted by Netlify, which processes form submissions on our behalf and stores them in our account. Web fonts are served by Google Fonts, which may log your IP address when fonts are requested. These providers may process data outside Canada, including in the United States, under their own privacy terms.
Retention
Enquiry data is kept for as long as needed to respond and, for customers, for the life of the account plus the period required by Canadian tax, customs and product-safety law (generally six years).
Your rights
You may ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or withdraw consent, by emailing quotes@humberbaysupply.com. We respond within 30 days. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Cookies
This website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Local storage is used only for your quote list and interface preferences.
Changes
We will post any changes to this policy on this page with a new "last updated" date.
